Elise McCune is an Australian, Melbourne-based writer.
Born in New South Wales, Australia, Elise moved to Perth, Western Australia where she raised her two children. She worked for ten years in the Western Australian Museum and travelled extensively during this time in England, Europe and Egypt. Elise also faced the challenge of open-heart surgery and she was the Face of World Heart Day in 2003.
In May 2016 Allen & Unwin will publish her first novel Castle of Dreams. It is a dual narrative story set in far north Queensland druing World War Two and in contemporary times. Richly evocative with twists and turns, and narrative lyricism, it is an absorbing story of love, betrayal and mystery.
