Jacqueline
Jacqueline asked Jeff VanderMeer:

I LOVE that in annihilation you essentially didn't provide any physical description of the characters ! What informed that decision?

Micah
Micah asked Jeff VanderMeer:

Hi Jeff, I found the lack of names for the characters in Annihilation fascinating. I have several theories on the reason, and the narrative itself drops some hints, but what was your motivation on "naming" the characters according to their job title rather than giving actual names to characters, as you do in Authority?

A. Cantatis
A. Cantatis asked Jeff VanderMeer:

In both Annihilation and Authority, I noticed a lot of references to left hands and moving in leftward directions. Was this intentional, and if so, what was your intent in using this symbolism?
