Yes, though I think it might not be the answer you were hoping for. Paramount has decided not to renew the contract so for now, there will not be a movie. More details are here: http://www.jennielsen.com/archives/2007
I have high hopes for the future though. This book has very loyal fans so I hope one day that loyalty will get the attention of another studio and be made the way the fans want to see it.

Let’s say a movie for The False Prince was decided to be made into a movie; where would auditions be held, and where would the best place for shooting be done? This is all definitely a “what if. situation and not a “I-live-in-Montana-which-is-basically-Canada--let-me-try-out-just-give-me-the-papers-gosh-dignity-darn-it” situation.
