That is a tough one - but I would have to say Lucy and Nicholas Sabine in 'Moonraker's Bride'... Why? Both these characters are unique in the manner of courtship; bonding etcetera... This story is so well woven, my daughter and I have re-read it time and time again... It taught me a lot about the views of those entering a different country... the obstacles they can face... it has its funny parts but it has an overall serious plot.
