I recently finished listening to the Guest Room. It opened my eyes to the world of sex slavery. When you just see the words in writing it doesn't have the impact as actually giving the girls names and making them real people with a real life history. You have been giving names and faces to the suffering that the Armenian people have gone through. Does it help you to bring this to the world?

The short answer is yes.
The longer answer is that at mid-life it has become important to me to focus on issues that are meaningful -- to be part of things that transcend the individual.
And certainly the rediscovery of my Armenian DNA is a part of that.

Hi Chris, I just finished the Guest Room, and thoroughly enjoyed. Really, I feel that was an accomplishment to you as I found the book so repulsive at times. Kudos to you. So, I live in Calgary, Alberta. Would love to see you come out here. Any possibility? Looking forward to your new book and reading all past books that I have not read yet.
