Hi! My questions are, 1. After creating and delving into a world of fiction, How do you leave after being so emotionally invested? 2. Have you ever had trouble letting go ? 3. You mentioned that you write in order to explore certain themes. What have you learned most about each theme, that has resonated with you, and has this in a way allowed you to understand your own experiences? Thanks!

Hello Boookwormlover,
Thanks for your questions.
It's difficult to leave characters that have been one's companions for several years. But in a way, I still feel connected with them. For example, the Professor is always pestering me, saying something. And I can always hear Julia laughing in the background. Perhaps this is why I intend to write another book about them someday - they're still talking to me after all these years.
One of the themes I've explored in all my novels - both The Gabriel Series and The Florentine Series - is forgiveness. Forgiving others, forgiving ourselves, being forgiven. This is a topic I care about and I think it's one worth discussing. I'm still thinking about it and probably will forever.
Thank you for reading,
SR

SR, GOE does a great job in working Steps 1-11 throughout much of the book, however, I am looking at Step 12: Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other alcoholics and practice these principles in all of our affairs. Is Gabriel able to work the 12th step? He needs to in order to maintain his sobriety. What do you think? Thanks very much, Marilyn

On page 112 of Gabriel's Rapture Julia and Gabriel are arguing about the way Gabriel treated Paullina in the past, then he says to Julia "I met you first". But when he met Julianne he was doing drug and already lost Maia so actually he met Paullina first. What am I missing?

Hello, A clock with elaborate Italian word work hangs in the Highlands Ranch Mansion in Highlands Ranch, CO. In Latin it is said to read " Time flies but man perceives it not" from Dantes Inferno. I have been trying to find this quote. By chance, are you familiar with it or do you have a suggestion as to how I can find it? I am wanting to check if it is the correct wording. Thank you, Sara saraleb@aol.com
