Hi Emma! Sorry for the delay in answering. My best characters are based on people I know. I can flesh them out so much easier if I have an emotional/relationship with them. Though I don't tell anyone who they are IF they are a model in stories.
I've been writing since I was a kid but didn't try the actual "be an author" game until about 3 years ago.
I got into writing because my Mother is a ferocious reader and I loved that all these people wrote these books that Mom loved. How cool would it be to be alone and write your imagination...
