How did you get started as an author? Did you always want to be an author?

Hi Boo,
I began writing because I have always told stories in my mind. Creating what-if scenarios and then they expand from there. One day, I decided to write down one of the stories that had bee circling in my brain and I found I enjoyed the process.
Did I always want to be an author? No. In fact, I never even considered it. After I finished my first story though, I did begin to think about it, but I never thought it would happen.
I'm so happy I did decide to make the jump from telling stories in my head, to writing to eventually becoming published!
