How do you come up with two characters that are damaged and so different, yet the same? Like Noah and Echo. Also, what goes trough your mind when you come to the part in a story where those two characters finally come together? like in "Pushing The Limits".

Hi!
Usually there is one character who just sort of appears to me and tells me they want a story. Once I explore that character and understand who they are, I then think about who would be the best person to be the right amount of push and pull to help them overcome their issues.
In real life--my husband and I look like exact opposites on the outside, but at the core of our beings, we share the same values and moral code. I think that heavily influences how I create the characters in my novels.
My next novel, Only a Breath Apart, will be released on January 22, 2019!

omg my sister and I have both read all your books and I am so so so so happy that you're releasing a new one on may 5th (THAT'S MY BIRTHDAY IM SO EXCITED). I wanted to know, though, will it be another YA novel? Goodreads hasn't really tagged it as anything so I was curious, especially because the blurb sounds more NA/Adult THANK YOU <3
