Do the seasons of the Four Gods change at the Solstices and Equinoxes? Or do they change at the older (Celtic) "cross-quarter days"...which are still (mostly) celebrated in our calendar with Hallowe'en, Candlemas (Groundhog Day), May Day, and Lammas (about Aug 2)? The Celtic "seasons" align better with the weather than the modern ones. (If I haven't had snow before Dec. 21, there's something wrong!)

The god's seasons change at the solstices and equinoxes (except of course for the Bastard, who gets leap year day/s -- not necessarily the same as ours) plus there is a day at the mid-point of each season that's a lesser holiday as well. "Mother's Midsummer" has been mentioned, ferex. So there's a holiday every six weeks. So I guess they have both?

Totally enjoyed Gentleman Jole & the Red Queen. (I predict an art exhibit "Aral at 100" on the AO3 fan fiction site). Are you going to make use of the "ghost fleet" in future? Seems you have a Betan Captain, two Admirals, potentially, 17 family cadets and the universe to explore. :).

Hello Lois I thought the first Penric anthology looked a little underrated on Amazon.es (Amazon Spain) so I thought I´d add this review (in Spanish) under Clariana: https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/1982124296?pf_rd_p=17a988a6-15ad-46df-8d9f-8365d36240ce&pf_rd_r=NAMA654AE8ECH1RKHT29 Do you have a Spanish translator for the Penric novellas yet?

Lois, like many fans, I am hoping that you will continue to write books in the Vorkosigan series. I enjoyed Captain Vorpatril's Alliance immensely and I've wondered: might other Barrayaran characters have an adventure and book of their own as well - such as Byerly Vorrutyer ?
