Completely relevant question. What music do you listen while you write (if any)?

I would love to listen to music while I write but I can't listen to anything with lyrics, it makes it harder for me to hear conversations in my head as I'm trying to write them out. So I've tried to put together collections of instrumental tracks but I got tired of them very quickly. I have a very fancy pair of noise-cancelling headphones (very valuable for a person with attention span problems) but they collected dust while writing JDATE 3. The problem is the type of music that would be helpful when writing isn't the type I listen to for fun, so I never have a chance to find and curate a playlist.

In my humble opinion, Spiders is your best written novel. I believe that partially because I view the titular Spiders as a metaphor for addiction. That makes them a lot more terrifying for me. Is this just my interpretation, or was that something you intended when writing the novel?
