Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Clair Brett Dealing with the Viscount was an idea I had years and years ago. The manuscript at the point of publication looks very unlike the original idea. I usually will see something, or read something, then a few days later I get an idea for a scene and then it snowballs. I would have to leave that as my answer, because back when I got the initial idea, I wasn't yet in "author" mode, so I didn't write down my inspiration with the idea that someone would ask me that question years later. lol
