Not as much of a question as a comment, it seems like many of the characters in the Erika Foster series come from underrepresented groups. I'm really thrilled to see nuanced depictions of women, people who identify as LGBTQ, and people of color. Did you intend to write in more diverse characters or did it just unfold naturally?

I never set out to write a book about underrepresented groups, but I also wanted to write a story which reflects the world I see. I'm happy that you have picked up on this.
