Goodreads asked Robert Bryndza:

How do you get inspired to write?

Robert Bryndza When I first started writing I thought I had to be inspired to write, and have a sweeping view of unspoilt countryside, a scented candle on the go, my lucky slippers etc. In reality, it has to be treated like a job, and you have to do it regulary to improve. Everything and anything inspires my writing. You can become very insular as a writer, and you have to make yourself get out there and mix with people, try new things. My number one inspiration is people watching and overhearing snippets of conversation - and a phone call from my mother can often yield several chapters of comic material!
