Where did you get the inspiration to create the amazing and complex male and female leads in your Pushing the Limits series?
Katie McGarry
Hi Shannon,
I'm so excited you enjoy my characters. :-)
I'm definitely inspired by people in my life. I am very blessed to have been surrounded in my past and currently surrounded by amazing people of integrity and who are extremely loyal to the people they love.
What I have always found interesting is watching others as they meet these friends and family of mine. They automatically judge them as one way because of their appearance and that judgement is so off base.
Because of that, I really love to tackle stereotypes in my books.
Thank you for the question!

Never in my life did I imagine identifying myself so much with a character (Haley) from a book (although for me these characters are like real people). And I don't mean the external struggles.
How did you come up with a character like her?
Did you base her on someone you personally know?

Hi it's Erin! I'm re-reading the Pushing the Limits series and I noticed something in Dare You To, that it mentions in the scene where Beth goes into Denny's bar to get her mom, that there were people with motorcycle jackets on who I'm assuming are the Riot. Was this purposeful or an accidental inclusion of MC people?

I can't tell you how amazing I find your books, they are one of my favorite series of all time. Your writing is so elegant and easy to get lost in, I find myself re-reading the books again and again. I'm just wondering what your thinking comes next? will you continue on with the same characters? Lots of love from Australia -D
