Eve Taylor
Eve Taylor asked Lawana Blackwell:

I am writing to ask you why you describe Cleveland Bay horses as any other color than bay (brown)? While there may very rarely be a chestnut (red) Cleveland Bay, they are very rare. The color of the horse is in it's description, Bay. They are not grey. They are not Palomino (blond), or Dun, or Pinto etc. They are bay. They are very sweet, very very large horses used mostly for fox hunting. I loved mine.

Lawana Blackwell Oh dear, Eve, I can only blame myself for flawed research! Thank you so much for enlightening me. I'll not make that mistake again. And how lovely that you had a horse in your life. As corny as it sounds, we had only my grandfather's plowing mules, Pet and Pete, for riding (bareback!) on visits to the Mississippi farm. Good memories!
