I loved Jorge and that story line, and I can't wait to finish us with Jal. The best part of your work is the intense serious story and then Bam! Something so ridiculous that it has me laughing like a crazy in the break room. My husband and I joke about getting a bigger bear all the time. do you find yourself laughing at your comical moments when you write them? What do you do for inspiration to put a bit of levity in?

I don't laugh when writing the amusing bits. I might smile. I think it's like how you can't tickle yourself.

As for inspiration ... no idea really. I just have a 'vision' of who the characters are and how they react to situations and each other, and dialogue/situations bubble up.

Without straying too far into spoiler territory, there's a name that pops up in Holy Sister that we've seen several times in the Broken Empire world, and it sort of suggests that maybe Nona's story is connected – if tangentially – to Jorg's or Jalan's. Is this an intentional Easter egg, or more of a coincidence?
