I knew my book would be set in the 1960s America. I was watching a Peter Sellers movie, "I Love You Alice B. Toklas." The film starts with an Indian guru talking to someone. The 1960s were a time of exploration into new worship styles and non-Western religions. I so created a group of devotees and how they clash with traditional society.
