Is this book for children or adults? I really like Brandon Sanderson's books (Read Mistborn, Stormlight Archive, Elantris...) but I'm not sure if I should give this book a shot? Seems rather juvenile...

As someone else said, PG13 is probably accurate.

One of the main tropes is that of the "princess being wed-off to provide an heir" to the God-King. Then some of the plot, especially early on, is spent on some expectation of sex. Violence, implied sexual violence, some other sexual themes, substances and so on.(less)
