Goodreads
Goodreads asked Jacqueline Winspear:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Jacqueline Winspear See previous question - having the freedom to write. And telling stories. Doesn't get much better than that!

Ginny
Ginny asked Jacqueline Winspear:

So happy Maisie is back, I just started In This Grave Hour. I review for Amazon, so I have the early copy. I am hoping in your future books there might be a new love interest for Maisie and a child [ her own or perhaps adopted?]

Nanci
Nanci asked Jacqueline Winspear:

Being a nurse myself & one who's always been intrigued by WWII era & mysteries, obviously I'm a great fan of Maisie and have loved seeing her grow and yes, age over the years. While I love that her life seems so real with love & loss, I have to wonder how hard was it to "kill off" her love interests, not once, but twice in the series, especially James? Do you ever wish for her to be able to "grow old" with someone?

Lauren Coodley
Lauren Coodley asked Jacqueline Winspear:

how is maisie's personality inspired by women you know or is she an ideal you've invented (a bit of yourself)?
