Goodreads asked Tom Mitoraj:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tom Mitoraj It's been a long time since I had true writer's block. The last time was probably when I was trying to write some college essays! In general, I have more ideas than I have time to develop and I occasionally struggle with finding the right way to say what I am trying to convey. Sometimes it will take multiple attempts for me to be satisfied with a particular passage. I often return to early parts of a manuscript and rewrite the passages several times until it feels right to me. Also, I try to capture new ideas as quickly as possible. If I get inspired on the train, on a plane, or in my bed, I quickly jot down my idea. I usually write just a few bullets to job my memory. Whenever possible, I write these thoughts in Google Docs so that I can access them wherever I have an Internet connection. It's good to keep the thoughts all together in one place, so I don't have to waste time finding them later.
