Just start writing. Starting is probably the hardest part followed by a commitment to finish what you start. Along the way, I think it is helpful to write down quick notes whenever you are inspired. It could be in the car, on the train, or the middle of the night. I actually keep a notebook next to my bed and jot down short notes in the Notes app of my iPad.
