I really liked that you put Barnes and Noble, Black Beauty and a Wrinkle in Time in your book. Have you read any of Michael Scott's books on teenage twins in The Alchemyst series. You guys would make a great team. Wrinkle in Time. Will you write a sequel?
Scott Hawkins
I haven't read any Michael Scott, but I just looked over the blurb for The Alchemist and it seems interesting. (Also, 108,000 reviews?!?! Holy crap! He must be doing something right...). I love alchemy.
As far as sequel, I'm not sure yet. I'm giving it serious thought, but I don't want to do a sequel just for the sake of doing a sequel. The ideas I've been having don't 100% fly yet.
That said, I'm almost certainly going to do at least a couple prequel stories centering on librarians who didn't get a whole lot of page time.
I should work faster, I know. Believe me, I know. ;-)

I just have to tell you that this book absolutely blew me away. I'm a librarian, so I read a lot of books. To contrast that, I'm a mom of 3 young boys who works full time, so it generally takes me a lot longer than it used to. I could not put your book down. Ignored my husband, ignored the kids, read it while I ate... got through it in one weekend. It is probably one of my all-time favorites in modern literature?

Scott, I loved this book. The ideas were original in a way I haven't seen in awhile and the characters were great. For some odd reason, whenever I was reading 'Erwin', I couldn't help but here him with Sam Elliott's voice. A little crazy, huh? So... you have to be thinking about a sequel, yes? Carolyn has some serious unfinished to deal with and I'm sure Erwin could handle being her American advisor, right?

I think I missed something, but did Carolyn resurrect Steve on her own in Det. Miner's house? And how did he instantly find himself in jail for murder, instead of waking up in the same place, like others did when they were resurrected? The optimist in me wonders if you ever considered a scenario where Carolyn gets what she wants-a happy life with Steve. Thank you for this book. Thank you so much.
