Bob asked Jameson Parker:

Any chance we will see a movie based upon on of your novels? I was thinking the Horseman at Midnight might make a nice little movie. You might want to direct it or star as the old man.

Jameson Parker Thank you for asking. I agree it might indeed make a good movie, but I have been out of Hollywood for so long that I no longer have any contacts or friends left in the business (saving my on-screen brother, with whom I stay in touch). The other problem is that these days the studios only make movies for international audiences (think action-adventure movies) where the plot is driven by violence and images that do not need to be translated. There are a few exceptions (Spielberg's "Bridge of Spies" is a relatively recent and excellent example) and there are still a few independent film makers who make the occasional gem, but they are few and far between. And beyond all that, I've never been any good at promoting myself or my writing. Marketing books is such a tricky thing that even the guys who are good at it seem a little mystified by what they've done.
All the best,
JP
