I cringe when I think that the slave trading was…moreI just started Homegoing and can't put it down. Great storytelling and a history we don't hear about. I cringe when I think that the slave trading was going on only a little over 200 years ago. It's seems too much for the human heart to endure. For myself, the story of an individual has more impact than a tome of historical, non-fiction.
