Loving this story but I'm confused about the location of this story. I looked up Blythe River and Blythe River wilderness. That's in Arizona but when Ethan is shipped off to live with his dad near the Blythe River Wilderness which is in Arizona they talk about Casper Wyoming and Yellowstone which they say is 100 miles north of where they were. Can you clarify? I love to travel with your characters!

Yes. The answer is that the Blythe River National Wilderness is a fictional location based very loosely on the Wind River Range in Wyoming. Not a real-life location at all. I looked and looked for what you meant by a Blythe River Wilderness in Arizona but didn't find it. There's a town called Blythe in California...
