Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

R.E. Bryant I was watching a news program (or maybe reading an article, don't quite recall which) about the Mars Meteorite ALH84001. It was thought to contain martian bacteria and was believed to be our first proof of life elsewhere in the universe. I remember thinking how cool the idea of it was, life elsewhere, but wondered if those who were handling it, really had a clue of what it contained. The possibilities of 'what if' started running through my head and of course I thought 'Hey! That'd make a pretty cool story.' As they say...The rest is history. :)
