Hi Lois. Just finished rereading Paladin of Souls (as an older women, I love Ista). I know you've answered this before, but I couldn't find it. Do the Chalion books come before or after the Penric books, chronologically in their world? Since you're concentrating on Penric and Des (which I love), I doubt you'll ever visit Ista's traveling court, will you?

Two Qs - who's the Vorhalas referred to in Mirror Dance as potential PM to replace Aral? The Count seems too old and I'm not sure who else there is! Are there other Serg offspring who might cause problems for Gregor? I also have a theory that Ezar is Gregor's father, but wouldn't mind a rejection of it so I can let it go! I figure that Ezar might have "worked with" Kareen as part of the anti-Serg plan is all.

Hi Lois, How do you know when a novel is “finished?” Do you find yourself tweaking things for weeks after you first think you are done with a story, or are you more of a “once and done” kind of author? When I paint, once I’ve signed my work, I never touch it with a brush again. I was wondering if writing was the same.
