Where in Italy were you born? Did you live there and if so, how did that influence your writing at all?

Monet Edmundson I was born in Catania, Sicily which is a part of Italy. I lived there till I was three years old and the feeling of pride and pleasure I get from that is definitely an advantage with my writing. Though not remembering every detail of those early years, I've heard plenty of stories and have seen many pictures of my time there with my family. The intermittent memories I get from that time make me feel at ease when describing one of my characters, Amelia Raht, growing up in Italy and recognizing its landmarks so well.
