Have you read When Breath Becomes Air yet?

Will Schwalbe I just read this, Jessica. I found it incredibly moving -- both the book itself and the afterword, from the author's wife. I also found myself fascinated with the neuroscience.

Of course, he is a beautiful writer. But there's also something inherently moving in the story of a doctor facing this kind of medical crisis. He doesn't have the ability NOT to know -- at every stage, he's aware of what he's up against.

I loved his descriptions of his interactions with his oncologist; her focus on what he wanted to do with his life; her way of framing his prognosis.

I've been thinking about this book a great deal. Would love to know your thoughts.
