You certainly know Lithuanian culture well if you would mention learning and education. :) Yes, I feel my Lithuanian heritage definitely plays a role in my work ethic and dedication to research. Growing up, my parents constantly stressed the importance of education and lifelong learning.

Another question, out of the four main characters in Salt to the Sea, which was your favorite and which was most relatable? I'd like to add that Out of the Easy and Salt to the Sea made me realize my love for historical fiction dive well, and I love how you include such amazing romances that really get to me. Between Shades of Grey is on my to-read list still!

Hi Ms. Sepetys! I did an English report on "Between Shades of Gray" a few years ago and I am still in love with the story. Also, just recently, I read "Out of the Easy" and that, too, was an incredible book. A question from me is what is the entire writing and researching process like when you are making a novel? Thanks!
