What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jeremy Tyrrell Start. Actually write something. There's a temptation to think, "Nah, I can't do that. I'm no Danielle Steel. I'm not interesting."
The fact that you're even thinking about writing means that you are already one point above everyone who isn't.
It takes some guts to go that extra step and commit your time to something which, ultimately, can be seen by anyone across the world. That's a scary thought. Very scary. Scary enough to prevent a lot of people from ever publishing anything.
Don't be one of them. Write something and get it up and out.
