I just finished adapting my book (horror fiction) into a screenplay and still have no agent!! Might you have any recommendations or suggestions on how to find a good and trustworthy literary/movie agent? I live in the Boston area. And, I just have to say that, after I read John Dies, I put it down and said to myself, "Damn! That's the kind of book I wanted to write!!" Great stuff!

I think I've said it elsewhere here but I'm a terrible person to ask because I never did it. I had a weird situation where I wrote a book and published it myself, then sold the film rights with no agent/editor. So a publisher approached me about releasing it in hardcover AFTER the movie deal and asked who my agent was, and I said I didn't have one. So they recommended me one and that's who I went with, even though they're supposed to be on opposite sides of the table. My thinking was that the agent still has motivation to get me the best deal possible, since that's how they get paid. And I've been very happy since. But prior to that my attempts to find an agent went nowhere, I submitted a (nonfiction) book proposal many years ago and it just died on the vine. So I clearly don't know what I'm doing from that end.

Dear Mr. Wong, My name is David Neilsen, and I'm a Trustee of the Warner Library which serves Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow, NY. This Halloween, we're holding a fundraising event to raise money for our library and I was wondering if you'd donate a signed copy of one of your books for us to raffle off as a prize? Please let me know. Thank you. Sincerely, David Neilsen

Loved all your books. Specially Spiders and Futuristic Violence.
JDatE3's general story was nice. Weird, differnet, but nice. But some soy sauce rules changes irritated me. (Side-effects temporary ? Usage caused more chaos/dildo jokes then helped the situation ?...) Did I missed a point ? Can you point me at something I need to pay special attention to while I do my 2nd reading of JDatE3 ? Help me love it more !
