Hi Eloisa...I am reading and enjoying My American Duchess now....your answer in a previous question about your daughter reading The Fault in Outr Stars...does your daughter influence your heroines at all? Especially being that American living in London....I would imagine she offers interesting perspectives on being young and having these wonderful experiences....
Eloisa James
Hi Sharon! Yes, Anna has a huge effect on my books. She likes to listen to the plots and give me advice about what my heroines should be doing/thinking. And since she's closer to their age than I am, I generally listen to her. She's very good at wrinkling her nose and saying, "No, I don't think so." As for living in London, she adores the city now. She fell in love with a nice British boy... a great story to bring home (even given a little heartbreak at the end).

This is not a ?, but I wanted to thank you for 2 things: 1) Your treatment of adoption/abandonment in "Duchess in Love". As an adult adoptee myself, I still struggle with the idea of "belonging". 2) The Paris museum recommendations! We loved the Jacquemart-Andre, and look forward to visiting the Camondo on our next trip. No need to respond. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate both.

I don't have a question, I just wanted to thank you for all the cool stuff I received along with Four Nights with the Duke that I won on Goodreads. I am currently reading your Fairy Tale Series of books. Really enjoying them. My favorite so far is When Beauty Tamed the Beast!! May change when I finish the series?

Eloisa, I just finished Paris in Love and loved it! I lived in Paris at the same age as your Anna and was put in Marymount not knowing a word of French, was soon fluent and enjoyed four years growing up in Maisons Laffitte. I'm in Manhattan today at HSS where a friend is having surgery and your book has helped the hours fly by! Thank you for the nostalgic interlude! have you been to Majorelle?,
