I walked into a historical house in Bath, England, last year and got into a fascinating discussion with the docent guarding the dining room, which was set with loads of silver -- and a pineapple in the place of honor. The moment she said that the pineapple would have been rented, I knew that I had a brilliant scene for the book I was writing -- because a young American lady would not have known about the extreme rarity of pineapples in London at the time. That moment was a novelist's dream!

Dear Eloisa I LOVED My American Duchess. I found it moving, romantic and humorous the perfect blend which we need these days. I read a lot of romances and I love your romances. Would you consider doing a sequel with the same characters (Merry and Jack) being center stage? I'd love to read about a happily married couple that goes through a few hardships but is still loving and interesting. Usually this isn't done.

This is not a question, rather, a 'thank you' note. Thank you for giving us glimpses of our favourite American duchess and her duke (although he didn't have a line in "How to be a Wallflower") again! Would love to see more of them in the next two books in the series. And perhaps, (dare I hope?) some lines for Trent?
