Martha
Martha asked Eloisa James:

(1) Since you spent a year in Paris and now you are in London, how has that altered (or enhanced) your writing? (2) Geographically, where is Lucca, (spelling?) your son? If he is in the States, how are you dealing with the separation? (3) Lastly, was it hard for Anna to leave here friends for the last year (or so,) of High School?

Eloisa James Hi Martha!
Sorry it took me a few days to respond. I think my writing is always refreshed by being in a new location. Living in England, for example, I've had so many new ideas for plots -- just from walking around London. Luca is in New York, going to college. That's really hard. I hate being that far away. But he seems to be loving the study of Arabic, which means he might well go even further away at some point, to further his knowledge of the language. That's what having children is like, right? We have to watch them fly away on their own. Anna missed her friends, but she's only in her first year of high school, so she probably would have been making new friends anyway. It's been a challenging but good year for her so far! big hug, Eloisa
