I have very often heard "not nice" remarks after I mentioned I like reading romance books. Have you had situations where you faced criticism because the genre of your books?

Eloisa James I'm sorry you're getting nasty comments about reading romance, Kasia! I'm tempted to just say, 'haters gotta hate,' but the whole thing is fairly complicated. I also get those comments, unfortunately. I actually wrote an op-ed for the New York Times defending romance from the term "bodice-ripper". I'm linking, if you want to take a look. Often people haven't ever read a romance. Tell them I'm a Shakespeare professor who went to Harvard (as did Julia Quinn), so their assumptions about the genre being silly or stupid are incorrect! http://www.eloisajames.com/mediakit/e...

Hi Eloisa! I just finished Wilde Child and I loved it. The characters were amazing. But I was wondering about something, Horatius is mentioned in every book. He is present in all those stories. Is there a chance (and I know i am reaching here) that he is the man that is traveling with the theater? Could Caballero actually be Horatius? Or am I just crazy 😜? Regardless I love your books, so thank you!
