Abilene McLean-Dare
Abilene McLean-Dare asked Jennifer A. Nielsen:

I always start new stories, but then I get bored of them. How do I get myself to finish the story?

Jennifer A. Nielsen Abilene, this is very common for writers and it could mean a couple of different things. One possibility is that your idea just didn't have "legs." In other words, it sounded like a good idea but once you got into it, you realized there's not enough concept for an entire story. The second possibility is that your characters don't have enough problems. So test it with your current writing project. Look at the scene where you're stuck and ask yourself, "What is the worst thing I could do to my character right now?" Once you figure it out, give that a try and see if it jumpstarts your interest in the story again. Good luck!
