Hi Juliet, I just wanted to say I absolutely adore your books, I've been reading them for years and I review them regularly on my book blog at http://tintededges.wordpress.com. I cried when I read Flame of Sevenwaters; I had recently had to put down my dog who was 19 years and 8 months old and the story really touched me. Are there plans for more books about real historical figures like Bridei?

Hi Angharad, What a beautiful Welsh name! I'm so sorry to hear about your dog, that must have been heartbreaking, though 19+ years is a wonderful long life which must have been full of all sorts of happy times. Bear (as a dog) was based on one of my own dogs in personality though not in physical appearance - my Harry is a small white curly-coated boy, a bichon frise mix. I was busy training Harry while Maeve was taming Bear and Badger. And Harry has lovely amber eyes.
Re future projects, I'm not sure what will come next at this point. I've just delivered Den of Wolves to the publisher, which fulfils my current three book contract. There are several possibilities, one of which is a Bridei-related project (not a novel.) I am also keen to write more Blackthorn & Grim, and the idea of taking a year off is also quite appealing, though I don't think my agent would be keen on that. I'll certainly post on the website when I get started on something new.

You have been one of my favorite authors for years ... your writing is so beautiful it's hard to imagine a book by you not being snatched up quickly. All the same, I'm curious to know how long it took you to find an agent/publisher for your first book? Did you get many rejections before you landed a contract?

Juliet, both your series of Blackthorn and Grim, plus the Warrior Bard series are just great stories. I really feel that a good map is essential to both of these sets of books and reader's enjoyment. Why is there no map in the Blackthorn and Grim and 3 Warrior Bard novels books?

Hi Juliet, just want to say thank you so much for your beautiful work. Daughter of the Forest made me seriously consider writing for a living, which I'm now doing, in the hopes that I could write characters like that. Not to mention rewriting much-loved fairy tale, which you are the master of. Thanks for your inspiration! I guess my question could be: have you any plans for other fairy tales to make over?
