Please, please, pleeeease tell me that you're going to make a movie on this series?!????

I would love that so much! You have no idea! But, unfortunately, making a movie is something that's far out of the scope of my control to just "make happen".
The way I understand it is...
The first step is for a prospective studio to "option" the work. This means they buy the rights from me as the author to use the story in a movie (or TV) adaptation. But that doesn't mean a movie will be made! Many studios will buy up a bunch of options just to have them and many properties can be optioned and never have a reel of film cut.
After the work is optioned, and there's interest from the studio, I think it then goes into pre-production. Adapting the material for the screen, writing a script, creating a budget off the script, and finding producers and people interested in funding and being a part of the project. Which, is another big roadblock and many potential films are stuck in pre-production and, again, never see a reel of film cut.
BUT if it made it out of pre-production, and after the first roll of film IS cut, then the chances of it becoming a full-fledged movie is much, much, higher - almost assured, by my understanding.
I know you didn't ask for all that, but I thought it may be interesting to you to have a glimpse at how the process works! As of right now, the Air Awakens series has not been optioned by any studio. But, who knows what the future holds!

Elise Kova:
This might sound silly, but I'm hoping to be able to plan and write a series myself at some point. So, I was wondering from the author's perspective did you find it difficult to get off your feet in building a new world and story? What were some of the challenges you faced? Also, thank you for reading this! I've recently finished Air Awakens and now I'm reading the Golden Guard Trilogy.

I am not sure if this will reach you Elise. I just wanted to check how you can partner with any of our bookstores in the Philippines. I have scavenged everywhere and they do not carry your books. I have seem them all over booktube and bookstagram and I am dying to read them. I'd like to purchase them but it is impossible when my country does not have your books. My only hope if I win any of the giveaways?:(
