Elise Kova I love Harrow so much and I'm so glad you do too :D
But to directly answer your question... I don't have any plans *right now*
I never say never though, when it comes to things like this, because it seems like whenever I do my muse whispers in my ear and says, "Write a story about this." But it's not in my current writing plans. Check back in a year or two? Lol.
Elise Kova Hey there!

I know I'm super late answering this... however, the answer might still help you or others so I'll answer anyway!

In order to manage my time better between Etsy, writing, and everything else, I do limited drops of books each month. You can see the current schedule of drops on this page of my website: https://elisekova.com/shop/
As well as on the announcements page of my Etsy.
If it's not listed in either location... I don't have a plan for when the next one might be.

Hope this helps!
Elise Kova Mostly the former (in the process) than the latter. My audiobooks do tend to lag behind my physical/digital releases in part because of sales. But also just logistics and timing. Finding the right narrator takes time, and then finding a spot in their schedule can also take time. And I'd rather wait and find the perfect narrator than rush.

Elise Kova Hey there!

I play and have played all kinds of games. My favorites are roleplaying games (like Horizon Zero Dawn, or Dragon Age) and action games with dynamic and difficult gameplay (like Sekiro or Bloodborne).

I do also enjoy tactics games, shooters from time to time, puzzle games, 4x strategy games... I'll give pretty much everything a try other than sports games. Those have never really been my thing.
Elise Kova I'm not sure if I ever say an exact age in the book for either of them. I believe Katria is 19 and Davien is a couple years older than her... I want to say he's around 22?

Even though the Married to Magic universe deals with magical species -- like elves and fae -- all of them age in about the same way a human does.
Elise Kova The universe Air Awakens is set in is very large and I certainly have lots of ideas for it! If I'm inspired to continue writing in that world -- if I feel like I still have stories to tell there -- I'll continue telling those stories. But when I'm done, IF I'm ever done, then I'll stop. I don't want to keep writing in a world beyond the point where I stop having stories to tell or it stops being fun for me.
Elise Kova I won't have a clear picture until I'm into writing the third book. I keep series to the number of books I think the story needs -- rather than forcing it into a set amount I guesstimate at the start.

As of right now, I'm thinking it'll be 3 or 5 books. Hence why I say I should know when I'm writing book 3 if it'll wrap up then, or need to be extended.

Elise Kova Hey there and thanks for reading!

While Air Awakens is the end of Vhalla and Aldrik's story, and I currently have no plans to write with them as main characters again, there are more books that take place in the Air Awakens universe.

Vortex Chronicles tells the story of Vi, their daughter.

The Golden Guard Trilogy are three shorter stand alones that show how the golden guard was formed.

And A Trial of Sorcerers takes a step away from the Solaris family to see the Empire through someone else's eyes as the known world expands.

Each series in the Air Awakens universe is a complete story and can be read in any order. I hope this helps!

Elise Kova I actually do all the print and text layouts for my books, as well as the under jacket designs (for most books). Throughout college I worked as a graphic designer, so I really enjoy keeping up those skills and adding a personal touch to my books for my readers.
Elise Kova Yes! I will have my first omnibus drop later this year.
Because the omnibus is so large, expensive, and expensive to ship, it's going to be a bit different than my usual drops. Usually on my Etsy, I order the books first so I have them ready to ship out. However, I won't do that with the omnibuses for the aforementioned reasons. I want to order the exact amount I need.
So my plan is to have a drop that functions like a preorder, and I'll plan to ship out the books before the holidays.

Keep an eye on the announcements section of my shop for upcoming drop plans I've made public --> https://www.etsy.com/shop/EliseKova

And thanks so much for your interest!
Elise Kova Thank you so much for reading and I'm SO SORRY IT TOOK ME A LITERAL YEAR to answer this question. I am the worst when it comes to answering Goodreads questions and am now working through a backlog...

Anyway!

It can be daunting to build a new world... but it's also really exciting. And I try to lean into the excitement. I think the biggest challenge I face when worldbuilding is keeping consistent with the rules I make and making sure they're both fascinating yet plausible enough that a reader doesn't have to suspend their disbelief too far.

I hope your writing has been going well these past months!
Elise Kova The Rebels of Gold was my traditionally published series. Due to sales, it wasn't compelling to the publisher to put out a paperback. For the same reason, it's going out of print.

However, the good news is that I will be getting the rights back and, in that process, will be able to re-release the series sometime next year! So stay tuned for more information :)
Elise Kova If I have ARCs my street team usually gets first crack at them, more info here: https://elisekova.com/join-my-street-...

I'll also partner with tour companies from time to time and they manage ARCs for the tour.

Any ARCs or review copies leftover are usually offered to, or given away to, my newsletter subscribers: https://elisekova.com/subscribe/

Hope that helps! :)
Elise Kova Most of my series are older YA, with the exception of my Loom Saga, which is adult.

"Best age range" is difficult to answer, since that really depends on the person reading, what they like, and what their life experiences have been. I usually will say my books are geared for 16/17 and older... but I've known some very mature 13 year olds who (with their parent/guardian's permission, of course) would be able to handle everything I've written.
Elise Kova I'm not 100% sure yet, as I usually write the number of books I feel the story needs and not to a pre-determined amount. Right now I'm thinking it'll be 3 or 5 books. But I'll have a clearer picture once I'm halfway through drafting book 3.
Elise Kova Yes it is. It’s set about 3 years after the end of Vortex Chronicles and about 20 years after the end of Air Awakens.
Elise Kova I'm late on answering this question, but an omnibus edition of Air Awakens was released in both paperback and hardcover in August!

http://elisekova.com/air-awakens-box-...

>> What is an omnibus edition?

These are single, large books with a complete series bound together inside.

>> It's not individual books in a cardboard sleeve?

No. An omnibus edition isn't a traditional box set.

>> What does it look like?

Here's a photo on my Instagram that I hope helps - https://www.instagram.com/p/CDyzUNYA-31/
Elise Kova There are three books in the Loom Saga, all three are out.

Air Awakens: Vortex Chronicles will end with the fifth book, CRYSTAL CAGED, out March 13, 2020. However, it does take place in the Air Awakens universe...

In the Air Awakens universe, there's also the Air Awakens series and the Golden Guard Trilogy. But these are not required reading before or after Vortex Chronicles.

Hope this helps!
Elise Kova Favorite anime? That's so hard to answer! Some of my favorites include:
- Revolutionary Girl Utena
- Your Name
- Mawaru Penguindrum
- Escaflowne
- Your Lie in April
- Cowboy Bebop
- Princess Tutu

I'm not currently watching the reboot of Fruits Basket... Right now, I'm re-watching Evangelion on Netflix. I haven't watched it in YEARS so it's really interesting to go back and watch it as an adult.
