I know it's just over a 12 hour flight, but ever thought of coming to New Zealand to give a reading? You could go to Australia too. Although it is hot and has many snakes, actually if memory serves 7 or 8 of the top killers in the world. Aotearoa, land of the long white cloud, and the only thing you have to worry about is sheep.

I had a wonderful trip to NZ in 2003 for the national SF convention in Auckland, and was able to tack on a 10-day tour of South Island, and I've also had a great trip to Australia, to Perth for Swancon... 23, iirc. I'd love to go back, but I'm afraid the airplane ride would be excruciating given all my wonderful new arthritis issues. I can't sleep on planes; coming back from Perth to Minneapolis entailed being awake for 36 hours. You know all those people who say they wish they had a 48-hour day? No, really, they don't.
Hot actually sounds good right about now, though. Minus-17 F. predicted here tonight.

Hi Lois, I've just started reading your Vorkosigan books (only 2 so far) but I absolutely love them. I'm the type of person that really enjoys looking up the reading order of long series and tackling them as the author intended, I've read your recommendation here on goodreads and appreciate the clarification from you. I have a 2 part question (EDIT character limit please see following separate messages)?

Hello! I love all of your books, but The Sharing Knife series is my favorite. I first read it while my partner and I were coming out and figuring out dealing with families, and it really helped me during that time. We are planning to make things legal soon, and I'd really like to use the Lakewalker wedding vow from Beguilement in our ceremony and possibly on our announcements. Would that be ok, if we attribute it?

Last summer in your blog, you said you would let us know when/if a date was available for the audio version of "The Orphans of Raspay" - so much anxiety from 2 little letters. It has been over 6 months. Any chance you can at least erase the "if" and let the torrents of hope and anticipation resume? I love Grover Gardner's reading of your work. Please let us know it will continue.
