Jimmy
Jimmy asked Scott Sigler:

My second question is at the beginning when M. Savage has broken out of her coffin & is then helping another out of hers, she compares skin tones. Savage says her skin is brown, making me think she is African American. Why does the book cover show a caucasian girl? Did I totally mis-hear?

Scott Sigler There are many shades of brown skin, from dark to light. Remember that Em is comparing her skin tone to that of Spingate, who has extremely pale, white skin. Em is actually Latina, not Black. Does that answer your question?
