Hello Cornelia! I'm a huge fan of your books; the thief Lord, Igraine the Brave, and Inkheart in particular. Will more movies ever be made of your books? And are you happy with the way the Inkheart movie turned out? (You're so awesome by the way! :D)
Cornelia Funke
I was not too happy, Kayla. I felt I had woven a flying carpet and got back a handkerchief:) Though the shooting was a wonderful experience I admit.
I don't allow movie adaptations of Mirror- and Inkworld currently. I prefer my readers to make a million movie in their heads:) And I hope that one day I can do for the Inkstories what I did for Reckless with the Mirrorworld App - create images in a digital format that I can finance myself - which means they'll look more like the images I have in my head!:)

I LOVE your books!!! I recently read Dragon Rider, and Thief Lord. When I found out that there's a sequel coming out to both of those I was exited, but when exactly are they coming out? P.S. I got Inkheart (the movie) for Christmas Exited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (your my favorite author by far!)

Hi Cornelia. First, I love your books! They've inspired me so much, so thank you. Onto the question. When I learned Inkheart was originally written in German, I was amazed. The language, the voice is so beautiful, and sometimes that beauty is lost in translation. I assume your translator is phenomenal, but I'm also curious, did you have a hand in the process? Thanks!
