Goodreads asked Lloyd Blake:

How do you get inspired to write?

Lloyd Blake For me inspiration comes from every day life. It could be an event in the news that inspires me or a social issue affecting people. I personally only write when I have something to say, I don't write for the sake of it. So each time I have written a novel, and this is my third I'm currently working on, I have stepped back for about a year after finishing the last just to give myself time to get inspired and to soak up what is actually happening around me. I feel like I am building up a library of information and then I wake up one day and say right this is what my next book is going to tackle and I start creating the story. Essentially I'm inspired by things without being consciously aware but something in the back of my mind is taking down notes.
