Phillip Garcia
Phillip Garcia asked Chuck Wendig:

You are very prolific. What is your daily writing habit? Do you try to hit a daily word count? Do you prioritize, say, the current novel you’re working on over finishing a new blog entry? It feels as you take a very blue collar work ethic approach to writing, which I admire quite a bit, but are you worried about burning yourself out? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Chuck Wendig Novels always get priority over blog posts. I write fiction during the week, usually, and blog posts on the weekend.

I write, bare minimum, 2,000 words a day. Ideally 3,000 or more.

I have not yet burned out, though if burnout is the ocean, I am consistently driving parallel to it up the beach, hoping the sand doesn't give out, praying the undertow doesn't reach up and take me.
