What gave you the idea for Mookie Pearl and how many books do you have planned for his series?

The idea is a long and convoluted tale, and one that may or may not involve a childhood memory of me pushing my thumbs into my eyes to see the hallucinations that resulted, one of which involved what appeared to be an actual lion sitting on our lawn.
As to how many books? Two more, for sure. One in December called THE HELLSBLOOD BRIDE. More Mookie, more Nora. TWICE THE HELL.
