I've really enjoyed your writing in the Imperial Radch series, both the eloquence of it and how you manage to put in interesting bits about relationship dynamics and ethical decisions in an unjust world without breaking the story. So I'm very happy to hear there will be another book in that universe. I was wondering if you'd decided when the story line will occur, concurrent with existing novels, before or after?

Ann Leckie The storyline of the book I'm working on occurs after the events of the Ancillary trilogy. Though, it won't take place in the same area of space or, really, feature the same characters.

How do you feel when you hear people describe your book as challenging? Are you glad you stretch people's comfort zones or do you regret that some readers may find Ancillary Justice "too hard"? (I for one, found it a fascinating read.)
