Hi Violet,
I've always thought of Val as a cat, too! I don't know if there will be an actual cat in the book, though, as some cats don't get along with other cats. ;-) There will be a dog and we should have a form up on my Facebook page soon for a Name That Dog! contest. Maybe I should do the same for a cat character???
