Did you intend for the opera Silence and Mickey go to to be Handel’s Serse? Or is that just a happy coincidence? I love all of the details you include on period opera and theatre.

Wow! Good spot! Yup, Serse was one of several of Handel's operas featuring a castrato singer. While writing Scandalous Desires I listened to Serse, Aggrippina, and Partenope sung by modern counter tenors. Gorgeous!

Dear Ms Hoyt, I am a HUGE fan of your work. In fact, I wanted to thank you for the absolute perfection that is Winter Makepeace. I have read a LOT of HRs, but Winter has spoilt absolutely every other man for me.
